About PPHI Sindh:
PPHI Sindh stands for the “People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative” in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. PPHI Sindh is a non-profit company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017 (formerly Companies Ordinance, 1984). The organization aims to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities through the provision of quality health services, disease prevention and health promotion programs.
PPHI Sindh is registered as a local NGO with the Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan, entitled to foreign assistance. It is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven experienced members with extensive and versatile experience. He is represented by former officials of the Board of Secretaries to the Government of Sindh (Health, Finance, Planning and Development, and Population Welfare).
Primary Healthcare Initiative journey started in Kashmore district in 2007 and gradually spread to 22 districts of Sindh. This responsibility was first assigned to the organization in 2007 through the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) under an MoU with the Government of Sindh (GoS). In 2013, the organization was registered with the SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan).
